On 16 February 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Italian Republic, Tamara Liluashvili, held a meeting with Fabio Sokolowicz, Diplomatic Advisor to the Mayor of Rome.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for further deepening bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture, education, and sport. Particular attention was paid to the development of exchange programs, both in the academic sphere and within cultural and sporting initiatives, aimed at further strengthening institutional and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The Ambassador of Georgia underscored Georgia’s readiness and strong interest in further enhancing its partnership with Italy in the aforementioned areas and in developing long-term relations oriented toward strategic cooperation.
