Chronology of Diplomatic Relations

Diplomatic Relations between Georgia and the Republic of Malta were established on February 1, 1993.

Main Fields of Cooperation:

Agreements are signed between Georgia and the Republic of Malta on double taxation, fight against organized crime and in the fields of culture, science and education.

The bilateral relations between the two countries are developing dynamically. The visits of the representatives of legislative, as well as executive branches take place. Perspectives of cooperation in education, tourism and maritime transport have been identified.

The Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies (University of Malta) is implementing the program that allows Georgian diplomats and civil servants to deepen their knowledge and qualification at the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies.
