Otar Shamugia meets his Italian counterpart within the OIV Ministerial in Brescia
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Otar Shamugia, participated in the Ministerial meeting held by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) in the city of Brescia, Republic of Italy. The International Vine and Wine Organization is marking the 100th anniversary since its creation with various events.
Italian Minister for Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests, Mr. Francesco Lollobrigida thanked his Georgian counterpart for participating in the ministerial meeting and stressed the significance of the existing cooperation with the Georgian Authorities.
"Georgia is an important partner for us, with which we should further deepen cooperation towards utilization of specific markets and quality production. Georgia chose the right path by focusing on quality rather than quantity in wine production. We once again confirm our readiness to actively cooperate with Georgia, both in wine production and other sectors", stated Mr. Francesco Lollobrigida in his speech at the Ministerial meeting.
